I Am With You

I AM WITH YOU. The 4-word safety net of Jesus pivots our position; promised Presence, glorious hope of heaven.

Who have I in heaven but you, Jesus? And what better can I hope to find down here on earth. You’re my One Thing.

Risen in Us

Jesus is risen and real. He is neither an idol of stone or routine. He is risen in His children changing them constantly into a new creation. Embracing His incarnational reality frees us from self-indulgence to find security and purpose in Christ alone. #JesusCalling.
2Co5:17; Mt28:5-7

You seek Jesus. He has risen; you will only find Him risen in your heart. Mark16:6 #JesusCalling

Time With Jesus

“Lord, I don’t have time to talk with you” is illogical gibberish. How can Jesus be my Lord if everything else is more important or I am not obligated to heed His desires or commands? How can I believe that The Lord – He who created time and all I am engaged in and the provider of all the strength I possess – cannot bend time and circumstance in my favor, can’t layout the best priority for my day, and can’t give me extra strength to accomplish more than I’m imagining.

Feeling guilty about forgoing any other activity so I have time with Jesus is both improvident and idolatry. Is it easy to find time with Jesus? it is easy for those who do it.

Treasure in Clay

Though I am but a battered and broken cup, You Lord have filled me with Your most precious treasure. Even if my enemy or those of this world try to steal or spoil or even if I foolishly try to pollute or pour out wastefully, You ever fill me to full and overflowing. Why You have made such a lowly clay cup to contain such eternal treasure is the mind-blowing mystery of Your Glory. Only You can make dust and debris into diamonds. Praise be to You, Lord. #JesusCalling 2Cor4:7

Redemption

Justice is receiving punishment deserved
Mercy is not receiving punishment though deserved
Grace is receiving favor though undeserved.
God miraculously, perfectly displays all three by Redemption.
Redemption is God’s Justice vicariously put on Jesus who didn’t deserve it so that God could offer Mercy and Grace to us instead.

Abide

The will of God is simply to remain in His presence. We think we come to Jesus, then go to do – but remaining in Him is the thing to do. We think we are doing something for Him but the reality is He is doing something through us. How can he do this work if we set Him aside? How can an uprooted plant bear much fruit? Return to Him, Regain and remain in His presence. #JesusCalling.

Peace For the Price of Weakness

Our God is so unfair.

He pays the price of death for our crimes; He trades eternal life in exchange for our giving up trying to pay for it ourself and accepting His gift. He offers peace for the paltry price of giving Him our weakness.

But wait, that not all – if you act now, He’ll throw in Himself as a constant guide and companion forever at no extra charge.

I know this offer may seem unfair but I hope you’ll thank God today for His unfairness and embrace Him forever. #JesusCalling
