“Lord, I don’t have time to talk with you” is illogical gibberish. How can Jesus be my Lord if everything else is more important or I am not obligated to heed His desires or commands? How can I believe that The Lord – He who created time and all I am engaged in and the provider of all the strength I possess – cannot bend time and circumstance in my favor, can’t layout the best priority for my day, and can’t give me extra strength to accomplish more than I’m imagining.
Feeling guilty about forgoing any other activity so I have time with Jesus is both improvident and idolatry. Is it easy to find time with Jesus? it is easy for those who do it.
