Greetings!

Greetings!  I hope you are living your life with your eyes wide open – not closed by the pain of life or the limited view of the desperate and dying masses.  Around us every second are miracles and blessings galore should our eyes only be able to see them.

Earth’s crammed with heaven,

And every common bush afire with God,

But only he who sees takes off his shoes;

The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

                       – Elizabeth Barrett Browning

 St. Paul told the church in Rome – after eleven chapters revealing the manifold glories of God – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”  This blog is an exploration of the endless mercies of God – which compel me to cease doing nothing but savagely consuming the blackberries of God’s goodness and instead to remove my shoes and worship Him and so to be transformed by Him into a son who gladly sacrifices the little I have in view of the incomprehensible and exceedingly immense sacrifice that the only begotten Son gave to me.

I hope your eyes are open, clear, and single – and that some of my explorations into God’s mercies will encourage you to view the mercies he lavishes on you constantly whether you are aware of them or sadly missing them as you fly through your life.
